On behalf of the organizing committee, I invite you to the 8th East African Endoscopic Ear Surgery Course 2024 which is jointly organized by Operation Ear Drop Kenya and University of Nairobi.
Our faculty team is led by Professor Mohamed Badreldine. Senior Consultant Otology, Neurotology, Skull Base Surgery. Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat, Oman.
Professor of Otolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, EGYPT.
Past-President of the IWGEES International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery.
He is a pioneer and leading instructor for endoscopic ear surgery and is highly sought after in many courses around the world.
The course is for ENT specialists and trainees. It will introduce participants to endoscopic ear surgery techniques and provide the knowledge and expertises to allow them incorporate endoscopic ear surgery into their clinical practice.
The Lectures will cover
Principles of EES Endoscopic Anatomy from EAC to IAM
Starting Endoscopic Ear Surgery Instruments and OR set up
Pearls & Pitfalls of EES. Focus on control bleeding.
Tympanoplasty
Combined Endoscopic Microscopic Surgery for cholesteatoma. Surgery of Congenital cholesteatoma.
Other indications of EES: Stapes Surgery – Ossiculoplasty TORP PORP –
Endoscopic surgery of Middle Ear Tumor: Glomus Tympanicum
Endoscopic Surgery of Lateral Skull Base
Video Demonstrations Basic To Advanced Techniques
The course will be conducted in the modern building of the Nairobi Surgical Skills Centre, Chiromo Campus, University of Nairobi.
